Youth Choir
All children, 2nd Grade and above are invited to join the St. John's Youth Choir. The only requirements are a love of music, a willingness to work hard, and a commitment to our weekly rehearsals and services. Learn more.
The Youth Choir will rehearse on Wednesday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. for an hour. The Youth Choir sings twice a month during the 9:00 a.m. service of Holy Eucharist (with mini-rehearsal at 8:15 a.m.) The choir is under the aegis of the Royal School of Church Musicians in America. We will pursue the certifications (ranks and medals) throughout the year.

Invitation to Sing with the Youth Choir
It is with great joy that I extend a hearty invitation to all children, 2nd Grade and above, boys and girls alike, to join the St. John's Youth Choir. The only requirements are a love of music, a willingness to work hard, and a commitment to our weekly rehearsals and services.
In addition to singing regularly at the 9:00 a.m. service of Holy Eucharist, highlights of this year's Youth Choir schedule include the children's Christmas Pageant and participation with the Senior Choir in the Festival of Lessons and Carols and Easter Day services.
Our weekly rehearsals at 4:30 p.m. each Wednesday will be devoted to the preparation of choral repertoire as well as to the enhancing of our choristers' musicianship. Upon request, private lessons will also be available to those students desiring further training in vocal technique and music theory.

Shepherds, Angels, Tax Collectors, Animals, and Royalty
All children willing to walk down the aisle on the day of the pageant are invited to participate. There is a sign up poster in Shears Hall for everyone.

Casting for Pageant Speaking Parts
Casting for speaking parts will take place during Church School for
5th through 7th Grades.
Saturday, December 13
Christmas Pageant Rehearsal at 9:00 a.m.
Costumes will be distributed at rehearsal.
Sunday, December 14
Christmas Pageant at 4:00 p.m.
Followed by Carols & Cocoa, a Festive Reception
