SHARE, Inc. is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of about 20 McLean-area churches, synagogues and civic groups, as well as individuals. The organization provides food, clothing, furniture, and selected financial assistance to meet the immediate and emergency needs of families and individuals in McLean, Great Falls and Pimmit Hills. 

St. John’s has been an active participant in SHARE’s efforts since 1973 and, over the years, parishioners have served in leadership positions. Traditionally, SHARE is the recipient of three Drives of the Month— in spring to stock the food room; in August to provide backpacks and school supplies to needy area children; and in November to supply funds for gift cards for clients’ holiday meals and gifts. In addition, a well-recognized picnic basket is always present in Shears Hall to receive donations of food, toiletries, or clothing.

The organization has been one site of St. John's Martin Luther King Day of Service since 2012, bringing in volunteers of all ages to stock the food pantries and arrange the clothing room.
