Since the founding of the Episcopal Church, Black Episcopalians have played a significant, but often unheralded role, in shaping the trajectory of the church. Join us as we explore stories of the remarkable individuals whose faith, witness, and commitment to God’s justice have been influential in shaping who we are.


Hybrid Bible Study

Join us as we delve more deeply into the Gospel of Matthew, which we hear on Sunday mornings this year. What can we learn by looking more closely at these familiar stories? We will use the Yale Bible Study resources as a guide. If attending in person, fell free to bring your lunch. Join on Zoom.

Women in Faith (WIF)

Tuesday, February 10 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the Brooks Library

"Friendship is the purest love." People often associate February with romantic love, but we will be diving into the joy of loving friendships—especially those with other women. Caring Close Knit Crafters (CCKC)

Thursday, February 12 at 10:30 am AND 7:00 pm in Smoot Conference Room

CCKC is expanding hours to enable working folks to enjoy the fun and fellowship while working on projects like knitting, crocheting, needlepointing, painting, and mending. In addition to our regular group meeting at 10:30 am on the second Thursday of each month we’re introducing a second opportunity at 7:00 pm. We hope you will mark your calendar and join us. Fourth Sunday Study

Sunday, February 22 from 9:10 to 10:00 am; In Person in Smoot Conference Room AND on Zoom

Join us for this formation offering on the fourth Sunday of the month. Led by parishioners and using resources from the Yale Bible Study series, Women in the Bible will “shed new light on familiar characters like Mary Magdalene, Sarah, and others who are less well known to many Bible readers.” There is no required preparation, and you are welcome to attend any or all of the discussions. Landscape Improvement Working Group

Sunday, February 22 at Noon in Smoot Conference Room

Spring is upon us. Have you toured the new garden extension of the Woodland Chapel? The new space runs along Douglass Drive. This extension is in the beginning stages. A wildflower area will be incorporated in the northern corner. The Working Group is inviting you, members of the congregation, who are gardeners and are interested to join us. Booklovers Discussion

Join us for a discussion of Harlem Shuffle. Award-winning author Colson Whitehead set his 2022 novel in 1960’s New York City. The story of a small business owner in Harlem explores issues of ambition and morality, race and power, family and loyalty, all in the context of a crime novel..
