About the Organ


The organ in St. John's Church was renovated and expanded as part of a major building project in 2000. Work was done by Michael Hart and Bard Wickkiser and the staff of the Di Gennaro-Hart Organ Company of Washington, D.C. Learn more.


The Music Fund


The Music Fund provides special music as a supplement to our regular music during Sunday worship. Brass and timpani on Palm Sunday and Easter, woodwinds or strings at Christmas, saxophone and drums for Jazz Sunday, and extra instruments for confirmation, Commitment Sunday and other special occasions are all made possible by designated gifts to the Music Fund. Look for the Music Fund commitment card located in the hallway outside the main entrance of the church, or please click below to contribute online.

Jazz Sunday & Pancake Brunch

Sunday, March 2

Save the date and join us on March 2 for Jazz Sunday at the 10:15 am service! Come celebrate the last Sunday before Lent at our New Orleans-style musical celebration—featuring the St. John’s Jazz Ensemble.


Additionally, there’ll be two opportunities to enjoy a delicious pancake and sausage brunch in Shears Hall, prepared by the St. John’s Youth (9:00 am and after the 10:15 am service). Reserve your Jazz Sunday Pancake Brunch seats today ($5 per person, $20 per family)!
