NATIONAL OUTREACH

St. John's Church supports regional and national outreach efforts through financial contributions to the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund, the United Thank Offering, and other church related agencies.

St. John's Response to Hurricane Helene

  • On Sunday, October 13 many turned out after the 10:15 service to assemble 150 Hygiene Kits to be delivered to victims of Hurricane Helene. Thank you for your generosity! St. John’s has delivered the kits to a local warehouse and Church World Service (CWS) will ship them where they are needed.

  • If you wish to make a financial donation to assist with relief efforts in areas affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Episcopal Relief & Development is on the ground and partnering with local emergency management authorities. This is one of the most efficient and effective ways to get assistance directly to those in need. Please donate online HERE.

United Thank Offering

The familiar blue boxes of the United Thank Offering are intended to receive offerings in prayerful recognition of life’s daily blessings. UTO, in turn, promotes, collects and distributes these offerings to support mission and ministry.

At its origin, UTO was an auxiliary program carried out by women of the Episcopal Church to send missionaries abroad and build schools, hospitals, and buildings in the U.S. More than a century later, it has become a broad ministry of the Church, making grants to churches in dioceses in the U.S. and their companion churches in developing countries.

Your donations go to a variety of award recipients each year. Learn about the annual recipients and more about the work of the UTO by visiting their website HERE.
